LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced an updated composition of its international match officials panel, following the retirement of veteran umpire Aleem Dar and match referee Muhammad Javed Malik.
To fill the vacant positions, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi constituted an independent committee comprising senior management members. The committee was tasked with conducting a comprehensive and transparent review process to identify suitable candidates for nomination to the international panels.
The evaluation included a detailed assessment of performance, experience, and credentials of all members from the national elite panel of umpires and the national elite panel of match referees. Equal opportunity was ensured through a structured selection process, which also included interviews.
After thorough deliberations, the committee unanimously recommended Nasir Hussain for nomination as a PCB international panel umpire and Kamran Chaudhry for inclusion in the PCB international panel of match referees. Chairman Naqvi later approved the recommendations.
