ISLAMABAD: The price of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs10,700 per tola and was sold at Rs459,462 on Tuesday as compared to Rs470,162 on the previous trading day, the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported.
This marks a 68.5 per cent increase from the per-tola price of Rs272,600 recorded on December 30, 2024.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also dropped by Rs9,174 on Tuesday to Rs393,914 from 403,088, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold declined by Rs8,410 to Rs361,100 from Rs369,510.
In the international market, the price of gold fell by $107 to $4,371 from $4,478 per ounce.
Likewise, the price of silver per tola decreased by Rs145 to Rs7,930, while 10 grams of silver went down by Rs125 to Rs6,798. International silver prices also dropped by $1.45 to $75.55 per ounce. Over the year, silver prices increased 136 per cent from Rs3,350 per tola to Rs7,930.
