Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, accompanied by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, conducted a high-level visit to the Capital Elite Police Training Center yesterday to assess the operational readiness and professional standards of Pakistan’s specialized security units.
The visit comes at a critical time as the Ministry of Interior moves to modernize law enforcement capabilities in response to evolving regional security threats.
During the visit, Minister Naqvi and Minister Chaudhry personally reviewed the performance of both the Capital Elite Training Course and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) course.
The ministers observed live demonstrations of advanced tactical maneuvers, including; Trainees showcased specialized insertion techniques used in high-stakes environments. A display of the rigorous fitness standards required for elite status.
Officials noted a specific emphasis on honing the firing skills of the trainees to ensure clinical accuracy during operations. And Improving Response Times.
Addressing the instructors and officers, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi underscored that the training center is a cornerstone of the nation's defense against terrorism and extremism.
"We must constantly refine our training modules and drastically improve response times," Naqvi stated. "The Elite Training School is not just a facility; it is the frontline of our capacity-building efforts to safeguard our citizens."
The Minister praised the trainees' professional competence but maintained that there is "no room for complacency" given the current threat landscape.
