SUKKUR: The mystery of the missing father and son case has been solved, with the victims found dead and three suspects arrested for their murder.
According to police, the father and son duo—Arif, son of Ghulam Muhammad Gollo, and his son Aasher—went missing on December 19, and their car was recovered by police the next day.
As investigations began, it emerged that both Arif and Aasher were invited to the house of the former’s brother, Zeeshan. According to Police investigations, Zeeshan allegedly drugged them and then killed them by repeated strikes of a hammer. Afterwards, the bodies were set on fire and disposed of in a nearby river. Police suspect that a dispute over property led to the gruesome killing.
Khalil Leghari, in-charge of Kandhkot Police, and the investigation team subsequently arrested Zeeshan, Sameer son of Sarfaraz alias Danish Abbasi, and Shanila wife of Sarfaraz, who have confessed to the crime, police said. SSP Kashmore Murad Ghanghro appreciated the police team for resolving the murder father and son case.
