LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that 35 women cricketers will participate in a four-week skills and fitness camp in Karachi, beginning on Sunday (tomorrow).
The players, who recently featured in the National Women’s One-Day Tournament in Faisalabad, have been selected to sharpen their skills and improve overall fitness levels ahead of upcoming assignments. The camp will be held at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre, where academy coaches will oversee intensive training sessions, practice matches, and fitness programs designed to prepare the squad for international competition.
This camp forms a crucial component of Pakistan’s build-up to their tour of South Africa, scheduled from 10 February to 1 March 2026, where the team will play three ODIs and three T20Is.
The series is expected to test Pakistan’s depth and resilience, making the Karachi camp an essential step in ensuring the players are match-ready. “By combining structured training with competitive exposure, the PCB aims to strengthen the women’s team and provide a platform for emerging talent to prove themselves ahead of the international season,” stated a camp official.
