PTI to take part in Islamabad LG polls

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Wednesday announced to take part in the upcoming local government elections in the federal capital.

According to an announcement made here, the party will fully participate in the electoral process and field candidates in all wards of 125 union councils.

A meeting of the party’s office-bearers of Islamabad region was held here, which was presided over by the Regional President Aamir Masood Mughal.

The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued the schedule for the LG polls, setting February 15, 2026 as the polling date.
