Ordinary people receive immediate punishment for trivial violations, but influential people and members of their families appear to receive delayed verdicts, indulgence and favour. Having two separate standards of justice not only affects the people but is also damaging to our constitutional order.
The demands for changes at the systemic level have intensified as there needs to be an equal and unbiased justice system. It is imperative to ensure that no one is above the law.
