In several provinces, children are still studying in unsafe buildings, tents or even open fields. Many of the schools destroyed by floods are yet to be repaired. Instead of classrooms, children are forced to sit under the scorching sun or in crumbling rooms that could collapse at any time. This is not only dangerous but deeply unfair. How can we expect children to focus on learning when they are worried about their safety? Such neglect pushes more children into illiteracy and robs them of a chance at a better future. Education is the backbone of progress, yet our actions show otherwise. The government must treat this crisis with urgency, rebuild safe schools and ensure no child is forced to learn in ruins.
