Rawalpindi:Speakers at the All Pakistan Education Conference said that in result of the educational reforms carried out by Punjab govt, admissions in the universities and schools were increased manifold, says a press release.
Chief Guest Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said that reforms were introduced in education like other sectors and scholarships were given to encourage the board toppers.The minister expressed these views while addressing the All Pakistan Education Conference organised by All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association.
Association Central President Kashif Adib Jawdani, Central Secretary General Amjad Ali Khan, North Punjab President Abrar Ahmed Khan, Joint Secretary Muhammad Hasnain Chaudhry and Chairman Anam Group of Schools and Colleges Ch. Amjad Zaib also addressed the participants of the conference.
Abrar Ahmed Khan said that there is no provision for the promotion of private institutions in the Punjab Private Educational Institution Promotion and Regulation Act. The act should be made ‘balanced’ through suitable amendments.
Sikandar said that teachers of private educational institutions will also be included in foreign trainings programme.He added that according to Maryam Nawaz’s vision, the path of bribery and corruption was closed.
The chief guest said that private educational institutions are an important part of the education system in the country. With ever increasing population in the province, private institutions took responsibility to cater the growing educational needs.
He added that we have fully included the private sector in smart syllabus, reform system and policy making. The registration and board-related issues faced by private schools will be resolved soon.
