LAHORE: The President’s Cup One-Day Tournament delivered fireworks in its fourth round on Sunday, with centuries from Maaz Sadaqat, Imam-ul-Haq, and Faheem-ul-Haq, alongside four-wicket hauls from Arshad Iqbal and Adil Amin. Teams KRL, Sahar Associates, Ghani Glass, and OGDCL emerged victorious in their respective fixtures.
At the KCCA Stadium, KRL cruised to a nine-wicket win over State Bank. Batting first, State Bank folded for 162 all out, with Ghazi Ghouri top-scoring on 36. KRL’s bowlers dominated, led by Arshad Iqbal, who claimed 4/31 and was named Player of the Match. In reply, KRL reached 163/1, powered by Shahzaib Khan (69 not out), Iftikhar Ahmed (50 not out), and Saad Baig (43).
At Naya Nazimabad Stadium, Sahar Associates defeated PTV by five wickets. PTV managed 207 all out, with Taimoor Khan scoring 73. Razaullah chipped in with three wickets. In response, Sahar Associates chased down the target at 211/5, thanks to a brilliant unbeaten century from Faheem-ul-Haq (100 not out, 7 fours, 1 six) and Asim Ali Nasir (45). Faheem was named Player of the Match.
At UBL Sports Complex, In the closest finish of the round, Ghani Glass edged SNGPL by one wicket. SNGPL posted 221 all out, with contributions from Azan Awais (52), Saad Khan (44), and Aamer Jamal (36 not out). Ghani Glass replied with 225/9, clinching victory in a tense chase. Tayyab Tahir (49) anchored the innings, earning Player of the Match honors. Bowlers Obaid Shah and Shoaib Akhtar took three wickets each for SNGPL.
At HPC Oval Ground, OGDCL recorded a high-scoring win, defeating WAPDA by 67 runs. Batting first, OGDCL piled up 380/8, with Maaz Sadaqat smashing 110 (10 sixes, 7 fours) and Imam-ul-Haq adding 108. The pair shared a 159-run opening stand, while Danish Aziz contributed 42 not out. WAPDA replied with 313/8, led by Bismillah Khan (77), Ahmed Safi Abdullah (60), and Muhammad Naim (50). Adil Amin starred with the ball, taking 4/42, but Maaz Sadaqat was named Player of the Match for his explosive century.
