ISLAMABAD: The heirs of the two girls killed in a road accident involving a judge’s son informed the court that they have unconditionally forgiven the accused and submitted affidavits confirming of having no objection to his bail application and subsequent acquittal.
The court of Judicial Magistrate Shaista Kundi on Saturday issued a written order on the bail hearing of the accused and the subsequent reconciliation with the heirs of the victims. The court’s order mentioned that the heirs of both the girls had forgiven the accused ‘in the name of Allah’ under free will. Adnan Tajammal, the brother of one girl, and Ghulam Mehdi, the father of the other also submitted the affidavits of reconciliation. They also informed the court of having no objection to the bail and subsequent acquittal plea of the accused.
In another case, arguments on the acquittal applications of the PTI founder in two cases related to the Azadi March continued in the court of Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah. Due to the unavailability of the PTI founder, no significant progress could be made.
On behalf of the PTI founder, Sardar Muhammad Masroof Khan and Zahid Bashir Dar presented arguments on the acquittal applications, which could not be completed. The court adjourned the hearing until January 28. These cases were registered in Kohsar Police Station for violation of Section 144.
In another case, the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka recorded the statements of two more witnesses in the alleged murder case of TikToker Sana Yousuf and also indicted the accused in the illegal arms case.
During the hearing, public prosecutor Raja Naveed Hussain was present in the court. The statements of two more prosecution witnesses were recorded, while the defence lawyers could not cross-examine the witnesses. The court also indicted the accused Umar Hayat in the illegal arms case and summoned the prosecution witnesses. A total of 16 witnesses have been recorded in the case. The court adjourned the further hearing of the case until December 20.
In another case, the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka indicted the accused for murdering 22-year-old Iman Afroz, a student of the Islamic University and summoned the prosecution witnesses.
Lawyer Sardar Qadeer appeared in the court on behalf of Iman Afroz. The court indicted the accused Feroz who denied committing the crime. The court summoned the prosecution witnesses for the next hearing and adjourned the hearing till December 20. The case of Iman Afroz’s murder is registered in Ramna Police Station.
