ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi, judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, and the Supreme Court Bar Association president on Thursday joined employees and security staff from the Christian community in marking the joyous occasion of Christmas by cutting a festive cake at a ceremony held at the Supreme Court.
The event was attended by employees from the Christian community, fostering an atmosphere of inclusivity, harmony and mutual respect. Addressing the gathering, the CJ underscored the importance of interfaith harmony and reaffirmed the judiciary’s commitment to constitutional principles of equality, religious freedom and human dignity. He extended Christmas greetings to Christian employees and acknowledged their valuable contribution to administration of justice. He appreciated their dedication and service to the institution. The ceremony was also attended by the registrar, officers and staff of the Supreme Court. The event reflected Supreme Court’s continued commitment to cultural and religious diversity, in alignment with Pakistan’s foundational principles of tolerance and unity.
