PESHAWAR: Six soldiers were martyred as Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists stormed a security checkpoint in Kurram, a tribal district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a government official said Tuesday.

“Six security personnel were martyred and four were injured, while two militants were also killed in the fighting,” the government official posted in Kurram, who was not authorised to speak to the media, told AFP on the condition of anonymity. Outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack.
