LAHORE: Pakistan’s veteran tennis stars Khurram Imtiaz and Furqan Khan continued their impressive run at the Bank of Punjab–sponsored ITF World Masters Tour MT200 Tournament, advancing to the final of the 55+ Men’s Doubles category with a commanding semifinal victory in Thailand. On the hard courts of the Robinson Hotel Khao Lak, the Pakistani duo delivered a disciplined and aggressive performance to defeat Germany’s Henning Hartmann and Jochen Kuhlhoff 6–2, 6–3.
The result carried added significance, as Imtiaz and Khan avenged their earlier defeat to the same opponents in the 50+ Doubles category just a day before. Khurram Imtiaz’s powerful serving consistently kept the Germans under pressure, while Furqan Khan’s crisp volleys and penetrating forehands ensured Pakistan maintained control throughout the contest. Their tactical sharpness and synergy proved decisive, sealing a straight-sets win and a place in the final.
