LAHORE: The stage is set for a high-stakes showdown at the Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, as Sidra Amin’s Stars and Fatima Sana’s Conquerors prepare to contest the final of the National Women’s One-Day Tournament 2025-26 on Sunday (today).
With a prize pot of PKR 3.55 million up for grabs, the winners will claim PKR 1.5 million, while the runners-up will take home PKR 1 million. The Player of the Tournament award carries a purse of PKR 200,000, adding further incentive to the title clash. The 50-over final will begin at 9.30am, with the toss scheduled for 9am. Fans will be able to follow the action live on television, while streaming will be available on the PCB YouTube channel internationally.
Defending champions Stars will be without their regular captain, who misses the final due to family commitments. Leadership duties will fall to Sidra Amin, who guided the team to victory in last year’s edition. Meanwhile, Fatima Sana’s Conquerors, beaten by Stars in the previous final by five wickets, are determined to reverse fortunes and lift the trophy for the first time.
Both teams finished the league stage with six wins from eight matches, but Conquerors topped the table on net run-rate. Notably, Stars’ only two defeats in the tournament came against Conquerors.
