The police team of District Keamari on Thursday seized a large consignment of non-custom mobile phones, including iPhones worth millions of rupees.
SSP Amjad Shaikh said that the operation was carried out on a tip-off by the Mochko police. The police team, acting on the information, raided the location and, after resistance, arrested two suspects and seized non-custom mobile phones worth crores of rupees.
He added that the two arrested suspects were identified as Sajjad and Noor Hassan. Moreover, during the raid, the police seized 170 non-custom iPhones and Android phones recovered from the possession of the accused.
SSP Shaikh said that the large consignment of non-custom mobile phones was recovered from an Alto car. The accused used to smuggle mobile phones from Balochistan to Karachi. The Alto car found with the accused had been taken into police custody, and further legal action was being taken.
