I would like to draw attention to the worsening condition of roads in Karachi, especially along University Road and several other major routes. Despite repeated repair work and long-promised development projects, many sections remain dug up, uneven or left incomplete for months. These broken roads cause serious problems for daily commuters. Vehicles are damaged, tires burst, suspensions break down and transport costs increase due to frequent repairs.
Students often reach their universities late and office workers struggle to get to their workplaces on time because traffic slows to a crawl near damaged patches. During rain, these roads become almost unusable, turning into pools of water and creating additional safety risks. It is essential that the concerned authorities take immediate action and ensure timely completion of ongoing roadwork. Karachi’s residents deserve safe, smooth and reliable roads.
