Lahore’s foodscape is looking up, as diverse food joints and outlets continue to open. They are now considered a thriving industry. Next, the city shall see what is being dubbed as the first of its kind in the country — a floating restaurant. Currently under construction on the Lahore Branch Canal, the three-storey restaurant is expected to attract big footfalls on the basis of its novelty value alone. This should give a great boost to food tourism. The Rs 4.9 billion project is expected to be completed by June this year.
