ISLAMABAD: The Establishment Division has decided to digitalise data relating to asset declarations of government officers.
According to sources, the system has been implemented under Section 15-A of Civil Servants Act, 1973 and Civil Servants (Conduct) Rules, 2026, in collaboration with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Under the system, the federal government has made it mandatory for all government officers in Grade-17 and above to submit details of their assets and income online.
An office memorandum has been sent to secretaries of all ministries and divisions for implementation of new system. According to memorandum, all officers will have to provide their name, designation, active email address, mobile phone number and Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) number to relevant cadre administrator, after which an account will be created for them on FBR’s online portal. After the account has been created, officers will be able to log in using their CNIC number and set their password by obtaining a One-Time Password (OTP) through “Forgot Password” option.
Officers will submit required information regarding their income and assets through “Declaration” option on the portal. The responsibility for accuracy of information provided will rest with officer concerned. Only non-sensitive details of assets will be made public on FBR’s website, while the information submitted will be verified through risk-based checks.
The deadline for digitally submitting asset details for financial year 2025-26 has been set as October 30, 2026.
