ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has categorically denied reports about his engagement and marriage, saying that any decision concerning his personal life would be announced by his family.In a video statement on Monday, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said, “I want to make it clear that neither has the match been finalised nor have I got engaged. I did not know anyone named ‘Princess Gloria’.” He said social media had “...got him engaged and even married him off”, but clarified that nothing of the sort had happened. “If any such decision regarding my life is made, my family will make the announcement,” he said. Referring to speculation circulating on social media about his alleged engagement to a European royal, Bilawal said he did not know anyone named “Princess Gloria”. “This is a social media tamasha aimed at diverting people’s attention from the real issues,” the PPP chairman said.
He criticised the government over the PIMS tragedy, saying 14 children had perished in the federal capital. Bilawal said a minister who wanted to become “Pakistan’s Gorbachev” was talking about dividing the country into 30 parts. “This minister cannot even run a hospital,” he said. He further alleged that the minister was telling businessmen in Lahore to create and run provinces. Bilawal said the remarks were being made at a time when the Sindh Assembly was taking a “bold stance” on the issue.
