LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expressed sympathy and solidarity with the victims of the earthquake in Musakhel district of Balochistan.

The chief minister prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the Kangri earthquake and for swift rehabilitation of affected people.

Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz has commended the successful foiling of a terrorist attack on a Pakistan Rangers camp in Karachi. The chief minister paid tribute to the security forces for their swift and professional response. She also saluted the martyrs who laid down their lives during the operation and expressed heartfelt sympathy with their bereaved families.

The CM Punjab prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the operation and said that entire nation stands united for the complete eradication of terrorism.

Meanwhile, under the “Punjab New Health Culture” initiative, comprehensive daily deep cleaning is being carried out in all public hospitals across the province for the first time to safeguard patients’ health.

On the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, an extensive daily deep cleaning campaign is continuing in government hospitals across Punjab. The chief minister is being presented with a daily report on the deep cleaning process, while digital monitoring of the campaign is also underway.

Thorough cleaning is being carried out at the entrances, corridors and all wards of tehsil, district and other major hospitals. Special attention is also being given to the cleanliness of waiting areas and public washrooms.

Professional daily cleaning is being conducted in operation theatres to keep them infection-free. Doors and windows of government hospitals are also being cleaned regularly.

Hospital floors are being washed and cleaned using specialised chemicals. Special cleaning measures are also being implemented in paediatric and gynaecology wards to protect the health of children and women.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said the government was concerned about the health of every citizen of Punjab, particularly children and women. She said the adoption of European-standard deep cleaning in hospitals was helping reduce the spread of infectious diseases.
