LAHORE: Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited (AGTL) has joined the Pakistan Agricultural Coalition (PAC) as a patron, formalising its participation in a group of leading business and financial organisations working to promote a private sector-led, technology-driven and globally competitive agriculture sector in Pakistan.

The partnership was formalised through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU), reflecting Al-Ghazi’s intention to play a more active role in the country’s agricultural development agenda alongside government institutions, industry stakeholders and development partners.

By joining PAC, Al-Ghazi brings decades of experience in the agricultural sector and its longstanding relationship with the farming community to efforts aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s agricultural competitiveness and self-reliance.

Agriculture remains a key pillar of Pakistan’s economy and a major source of livelihood for millions of people across the country.Through collaborations such as this, Al-Ghazi said it seeks to support initiatives that improve productivity, advance mechanisation and enhance farmers’ prosperity, in line with broader national objectives related to food security and rural development.

“For more than four decades, Al-Ghazi Tractors has stood alongside Pakistan’s farmers. Joining the Pakistan Agricultural Coalition allows us to bring that experience to a broader national effort. We believe the future of agriculture lies in modernisation, technology and stronger collaboration between the private sector and government, and we are proud to support an institution working towards these goals,” said Yasin Seker, chief executive officer of Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited.

Kazim Saeed, chief executive officer of the Pakistan Agricultural Coalition, welcomed the company’s inclusion in the coalition.“The presence of a leading manufacturer with deep roots in the farming community strengthens our collective ability to develop and scale commercially viable solutions for the sector. This is the kind of private sector commitment that can help drive long-term progress in the agriculture sector,” he said.
