KARACHI: Ride-hailing platform inDrive has launched a nationwide driver appreciation campaign, ‘Sahi intekhaab ka sahi inaam’, distributing fuel vouchers worth Rs20,000 each to help drivers offset rising fuel costs across Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, the company said on Tuesday.
inDrive has committed to distributing more than 2,500 vouchers over the campaign period. To qualify, drivers must maintain active status by completing at least 50 rides per week. The first session, held in early June, saw 1,000 vouchers awarded, with the remaining 1,500 to be distributed across four further sessions, the statement said.
“Drivers are the backbone of the ride-hailing ecosystem we have built in Pakistan,” said Country Lead for inDrive Pakistan Muhammad Awais Saeed. “Awarding these first 1,000 fuel vouchers is just the beginning of a sustained effort to alleviate operational costs for our most dedicated drivers during this high-demand summer season.”
The initiative is aimed at helping drivers navigate the pressures of recent fuel price increases during what the company described as a challenging economic period, the company said.
