Rosmalen, Netherlands: US qualifier Robin Montgomery upset Australian Ajla Tomljanovic to advance to the final of the s´Hertogenbosch grass court tournament on Saturday where she will meet Czech Barbora Krejcikova.

The 484th-ranked Montgomery swept to a 6-4, 6-2 win against her 109th-ranked opponent in the Wimbledon warm-up tournament in one hour eight minutes.

After a tight first set, where she broke serve in the seventh game, Montgomery, ranked 95th in the WTA before injury last summer, fired down 11 aces and broke her Australian opponent´s serve twice in the second set to cruise to her first-ever final on the tour.

The 21-year-old meets world number 45 Krejcikova who got past Poland´s Magda Linette 6-3, 7-7 (7/4) in her semi-final.

Krejcikova rallied from 5-3 down in the second set, and roke Linette´s serve to seal victory after just over two hours.

The 30-year-old, who won the French Open in 2021 and Wimbledon in 2024, will attempt to win her first title of the season on Sunday in a first-time matchup against the American, who is targeting her first career WTA title.
