LAHORE: The 37th day of the Lahore Winter Meeting 2025–26 presents a five-race all Class VII handicap card on Sunday evening, with the Summer Cup over 1,000 metres the feature event.

The night meeting, starting at 7:00 pm, brings together a competitive mix of maidens, mid-division handicaps and the prestigious Cup, and promises tactical sprints where weight, draw and late pace will decide outcomes.

The opener is a 900m Maiden for Class VII Divisions VI & VII featuring a field of nine plus three reserves. Sea Of Class heads the market as favourite, but the top weight Mohtarma and consistent True Promise are expected to set a testing tempo. Bilal One and Bilal Love are the late-money types to watch; connections will be hoping the handicap marks allow one of the lightly raced runners to break through. Other participants

Race two, over 900m, is a balanced handicap where Sher Dil carries the top weight and favourite support. The race includes previous winner Self Belief, who should not be underestimated for a place, while Haseeb Thrill and American Star offer value as potential improvers under the handicap. Jockey tactics and early positioning will be crucial in this compact field of eight. Other participants

The third contest (Class VII Div III & IV, 900m) lists Safe Bet as market selection, but the race reads as open. Cinderella’s Dream and Metro Queen carry joint top weights and are expected to contest the finish, while Emerging Star and Haseeb Warrior could upset if they find a favourable run. This middle-card handicap should produce a close finish where small margins and weight allowances matter. Other participants

The feature Summer Cup goes to post for over 1,000 metres and assembles an intriguing eight-horse line-up from Divisions I–III. Chaman is the market favourite, but Mayya, carrying the top impost, has the class to challenge and could prove decisive if the early fractions suit. Falco and Cinderella’s Dream add depth to the Cup, and trainers will be weighing the impact of the handicap on each runner’s finishing kick in what is expected to be the night’s most tactical test. Other participants

The card closes with a Class VII Div V 900m handicap where Zaman Sahib is the market selection. Absolutely Not, assigned the top weight, and Fakhar-e-Sardar are both strong place hopes and could press the favourite hard. The finale should reward a horse that can balance early speed with a strong late surge under the handicap conditions. Other participants.
