The Sindh Universities and Boards Department has announced recruitment for two BS-20 posts of chairmen for the Board of Secondary Education Karachi and the Hyderabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, according to an advertisement issued by Secretary Abbas Baloch.
The advertisement states that the appointments will be made on a three-year contract basis. The upper age limit for applicants has been reduced from 62 years to 55 years, although relaxation in age will be admissible for government servants in accordance with the rules.
The department said candidates must possess strong academic credentials along with extensive administrative and financial management experience. Applicants are required to hold a Master’s degree or a 16-year education qualification from a Higher Education Commission (HEC)-recognised university.
In addition, candidates must have at least 15 years of experience in administration, finance, management or a related field. The advertisement further stated that applicants must meet the prescribed CGPA criteria. According to the eligibility criteria, candidates between the ages of 40 and 55 years may apply, while serving government officials may avail age relaxation under the relevant rules.
Applicants have been directed to appear for interviews with original documents, while the department warned that strict action would be taken against candidates found submitting incorrect information at any stage of the recruitment process. Applications are to be submitted through the designated online portal, while the deadline for submission has been fixed at 15 days from the publication of the advertisement.
