Pledge to expand anti-corruption movement

ALPURI: Leaders of Tehreek-e-Ehtesab Shangla have announced plans to expand the public movement against corruption, vowing to continue their struggle for public rights, elimination of corruption, and fair distribution of resources in the district.

Addressing an inaugural ceremony organized by the movement, leaders, including Fazal Mabood, Niaz Khan Shangla, Imad Ahmad Khan, Dr Sajjad Khan, Miraj Khalid, Nawaz Mahmood, and MPA Samiullah Khan, along with representatives of various political parties, youth organizations, and civil society, pledged to carry forward the movement with consensus beyond political affiliations.

The speakers highlighted key concerns such as alleged irregularities in development projects, non-transparent tenders, embezzlement, and large-scale mismanagement in public welfare schemes.They warned that if their demands were not met, they would resort to all democratic means, including sit-ins, long marches, and peaceful protests.
