LAHORE: The Lahore Race Club has announced a competitive seven-race programme, featuring May Cup as the main event for the 35th Day of the Winter Meeting 2025–26, with all contests in Class VII divisions, except the fifth race which will be run over 1200 metres. The remaining six races are scheduled over 1000 metres.
A field of 12 runners will line up in the opening Class VII Div VI & VII (1000m) contest. Sea Of Class is marked as the favourite, Princess Arooj tipped for place, and Anni Power considered the fluke. Other participants are Sampras, Chhota Multani, Coach House Pari, Dogar Choice, Miss Coca Cola, Haseeb Thrill, Bilal One, Silent Melody, and Sosig Go.
Nine horses will contest the second Class VII Div VI (1000m) race, with Zaman Sahib the favourite, Fakhar-e-Sardar for place, and Zindagi the fluke. Remaining participants are King Asia, Lucky Macs, Rashid Prince, Self Belief, Sher Dil, and American Star.
Nine runners are in the field of Class VII Div IV & V (1000m), with Piyari the favourite, Tiger of Sultan tipped for place, and Absolutely Not the fluke. The field also has Zaid Prince, Emerging Star, Raja The Great, Ammara’s Dream, Debate Princess, and Fayyum.
Seven horses will compete in Class VII Div I & II (1000m) race, with New York City the favourite, Golden Heart for place, and Tomorrowland the fluke. Challenge will also come from Luna Afzaal, Wynx, Haseeb Gladiator, and Ex Gambler (KRC).
The feature The May Cup (Class VII Div I, 3 tear old Term, 1200m) race of the evening, will be contested by eight runners. Chasing Eden is the favourite, Mayya tipped for place, and Ghuroor the fluke. Other three are Kamal, Mister Sardar, Maverick, and Sajal, Samara.
Seven Class VI (1000m) horses will line up, with Queen Of Pharoah the favourite, Present Queen for place, and Daaku the fluke. Participants field is Winx, , Khokhar One, Crown Pharoah, and Ameera.
