Gwadar chamber delegation meets Sindh governor over traders’ concerns

KARACHI: A delegation from the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by its founding president Faisal Dashti, met Sindh Governor Nehal Hashmi at the Governor House, a statement said on Saturday.

The delegation included several political, social and business figures from Balochistan associated with the chamber. Among them were former member of the provincial assembly and adviser to the chief minister of Balochistan Lala Abdul Rasheed Dashti; former vice-president of the Gwadar chamber and businessman Mir Imdad Rind; former senior vice-president Tariq Rind; landowner and businessman Rashid Kalmati; former office-bearer Khalid Jam; businessman Yasir Dashti; and youth member and businessman Abdullah Kalmati.

During the meeting, the delegation briefed the governor on the challenges faced by traders, businesspeople and passengers in Karachi and across Sindh.

The governor assured the delegation of his support and said steps would be taken to address the issues raised. He also directed his staff to maintain regular follow-up and share progress updates with the delegation.
