Islamabad:An important meeting chaired by Punjab Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat was held here to review the performance of the education sector and assess ongoing reforms across the Punjab province, says a press release.
The meeting was attended by chief executive officers of district education authorities and deputy directors (Colleges) from various divisions.During the meeting, the minister commended performance of CEO District Education Authority Attock Dr. Muhammad Azhar Mahmood, describing it as a model worth replicating across other districts to ensure uniform improvement in the province’s education system.
Earlier, CEO Dr. Muhammad Azhar Mahmood, delivered a detailed briefing on key initiatives implemented under the worthy supervision of Deputy Commissioner Attock, Rao Aatif Raza.The presentation highlighted wide-ranging reforms, including the beautification and upgradation of 850 schools to create a more conducive learning environment. Early Childhood Education (ECE) rooms have been established in 429 schools, while solar energy systems have been installed in 238 institutions to address power challenges.
In addition, more than 10,000 students have benefited from the ‘Learn and Earn Programme’, aimed at equipping youth with practical skills. To enhance digital learning, LED screens have been installed in 407 schools, while rainwater harvesting projects have been initiated in 800 schools to promote sustainability.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO Dr. Azhar Mahmood attributed these achievements to effective teamwork and dedicated efforts by officers and staff. He congratulated his team and expressed gratitude for their commitment. Reaffirming his resolve, Dr. Muhammad Azhar stated that the district would continue its journey of educational development with the same momentum, with plans to expand and further strengthen ongoing initiatives in the future.
