Islamabad: Over 600 persons with disabilities (PWDs) engaged with more than 15 companies at a major inclusive employment event here.

The ‘Access.Ability.Careers’ event, held by ConnectHear, South Asia’s leading disability inclusion enterprise, in collaboration with Serena Hotels brought together job seekers from Islamabad and surrounding areas with employers from the financial, telecommunications and textile sectors.

Supported by public and private institutions, including the Directorate General for Special Education, the initiative offered participants an opportunity to connect with recruiters, explore careers and demonstrate their skills.

Building on previous editions, the event has engaged over 50 corporates nationwide and facilitated more than 500 job placements. The platform connects a diverse pool of candidates, including experienced professionals, recent graduates and first-time job seekers, with organisations committed to inclusive hiring. Through employer booths and networking sessions, participants interacted directly with recruiters, applied for roles and built connections leading to interviews and employment.

Past editions have shown strong outcomes, underscoring the importance of sustained and accessible hiring platforms. “At Serena Hotels, we believe true progress is achieved when opportunities are accessible to all. We are pleased to support the event in Islamabad and to partner in creating a platform that connects talented differently abled individuals with meaningful employment opportunities. Such initiatives are essential in building a more inclusive, empowered and equitable future,” said Serena Hotels CEO Aziz Boolani.
