ISLAMABAD: The National U17 Cup 2025-26 will get underway on Thursday in four cities. The two-day matches will be played in Charsadda, Faisalabad, Peshawar and Sialkot. As per the format of the tournament, 18 teams drawn from 16 regions have been split into three groups of six, with each side playing five single-league matches at the group stage. The group winners from Group A, B and C will progress to the triangular stage, with the top two sides from that round qualifying for the final.
The triangular round is scheduled from 2 to 9 May while the final – which will be a three-day contest will be staged from 11 to 13 May. Venues for the knockout phase will be confirmed in due course.
The tournament will see a prize pot of PKR 1.775 million up for grabs, where 270 U17 cricketers are set to take part in the event. The champions side will pocket PKR 1 million while the runners-up will take home PKR 0.5 million. The Player of the Tournament will bag PKR 75,000 and PKR 50,000 each will go to the best batter, best bowler, best wicketkeeper and the Player of the Final. Group ‘A’ fixtures will be hosted at Sialkot’s Shaheda Sultana Cricket Ground, CSS Cricket Ground and SOS Cricket Ground. Group B action will be split between Amin Lala Cricket Ground and Shama Ground in Peshawar along with the Ishfaq Cricket Ground in Charsadda, while Group C matches will be played at the High-Performance Centre Cricket Ground, Bohranwali Cricket Ground and Saeed Ajmal Cricket Academy Ground in Faisalabad.
