KARACHI: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) on Tuesday said that internet users may experience service degradation during evening hours due to a planned maintenance activity on an international submarine cable.
In a statement, a PTCL spokesperson said the maintenance work, being carried out by an international cable consortium to repair a fault, which is expected to continue until April 20, 2026.
The company noted that while efforts will be made to minimise disruption, customers could face slower internet speeds, particularly during peak evening times.
PTCL expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and said it is working to ensure the restoration of normal services as soon as possible.
