ISLAMABAD: The federal government has convened a meeting of High Powered Selection Board (HPSB) this month to consider promotions of officers to Grade-22.

According to sources in the Establishment Division, the meeting of the HPSB will be held in the last week of April. In the meeting, approval will be given for promoting more than 30 Grade-21 officers to Grade-22 from various services, including Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service, Secretariat Group, Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service, Customs Service, Inland Revenue Service, Foreign Service, Information Group and others.

The Establishment Division has directed that annual performance and other reports of the officers be submitted to prime minister. The meeting of the HPSB will be chaired by prime minister or deputy prime minister.

The previous meeting of the HPSB was held in March 2025, in which a total of 36 officers from Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service and Foreign Service were promoted to Grade-22.

Following the HPSB meeting, a meeting of Central Selection Board (CSB) will be held in May, where officers of Grades-19 and 20 will be considered for promotion to next grades.
