PMLN resolution in Punjab PA seeks Nobel Prize for PM, DPM, CDF

LAHORE: A resolution submitted to the Punjab Assembly Secretariat on Thursday called for Nobel Prize nomination for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces and Field Marshal Asim Munir, for their remarkable role in bringing a ceasefire between Iran and the US.

The resolution was submitted by PMLN Chief Whip Rana Muhammad Arshad, MPA elected from District Nankana. Rana Arshad in the resolution stated that the trio through their effective diplomatic engagement amid the ongoing Middle East crisis put an end to tension. The resolution stated that the coordinated efforts by these three played a vital role in promoting peace and stability in the region.

According to the resolution, Pakistan gained global recognition after brokering a ceasefire between the United States and Iran just hours before US President Donald Trump’s warning deadline was set to expire.
