LAHORE: Islamabad United’s English pacer Richard Gleeson expressed his pleasure on being part of the PSL and was impressed with the competitive standards of the tournament.
Gleeson shared his thoughts in a post-match press conference, sharing his first Pakistan Super League campaign and the conditions in Lahore. Gleeson described his PSL debut as thoroughly enjoyable, noting the competitive nature of the tournament. “It’s my second time in Pakistan but first time playing the PSL, and I’m really enjoying it. The cricket has been competitive, and Islamabad United have been brilliant—clear in their plans and full of trust in the players.”
He acknowledged the absence of crowds as a missing element, recalling the passion of Pakistani fans from his previous visit. “I won’t lie, it would be nice to have crowds. Pakistani fans are passionate and loud, and hopefully we can get them back soon.” Asked about his performance with the ball, Gleeson highlighted the impact of weather and pitch conditions.
