LAHORE: The Pakistan Wrestling Federation has confirmed a four-member squad for the upcoming Asian Beach Games, scheduled to be held in Shymkent, Kazakhstan from April 22 to April 30, 2026.
The team features a mix of experience and emerging talent across four weight categories: Muhammad Abdullah – 70 kg, Asadullah – 80 kg, Inam Butt – 90 kg, Muhammad Gulzar – 90+ kg.
The Asian Beach Games, organized by the Olympic Council of Asia, is a major regional multi-sport event showcasing beach and water-based disciplines. Beach wrestling, with its fast-paced format and emphasis on speed, balance, and quick scoring, has become one of the most popular competitions in recent editions.
Pakistan has a strong tradition in beach wrestling, with Inam Butt recognized as one of the country’s most decorated athletes in the discipline. Butt has previously won multiple international titles, including gold medals at major competitions, and remains a central figure in Pakistan’s campaign.
