Key transfers, postings announced in bureaucracy

ISLAMABAD: Several appointments and transfers have been made in the federal bureaucracy.

Afzal Mahmood Butt, an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of BS-20 from the Police Service of Pakistan, has been posted on deputation to the National Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism Authority. His appointment will remain effective until his retirement on August 7, 2026.

Meanwhile, SP Asad Ali, who was serving as the Prime Minister’s Security at the Prime Minister’s Office and is a BS-18 officer of the Police Service of Pakistan, has been transferred. His services have been placed at the disposal of the Government of Punjab.

In addition, five BS-19 officers of the Pakistan Administrative Service, who were serving in the Punjab government, have also been transferred. All five officers have been directed to report to the Establishment Division with immediate effect. The officers include Rizwan Qadir, Shahzeb Hasnain, Muhammad Asghar, Waqas Rashid and Zohaib Mushtaq.
