LAHORE:Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Karim met police employees and their families at the Central Police Office and listened to their concerns.
He issued orders to provide relief and directed relevant officers to take action on various applications. Instructions were issued regarding transfer, welfare, and administrative matters, including cases of police personnel and their families.
Over 1m avail Khidmat Markaz services
Punjab Police Khidmat Markaz centres have provided services to over 1.049 million citizens so far this year, according to a police spokesperson.More than 375,000 citizens obtained general police verification, while over 220,000 received police character certificates. Around 267,000 tenancy registrations were recorded. Additionally, 32,940 medico-legal certificates were issued, and over 39,000 individuals from vulnerable groups received legal and social protection. Vehicle verification services were availed by 9,511 citizens. More than 24,000 reports of lost documents were registered, and 763 crime reports were recorded. A total of 44,741 citizens obtained copies of FIRs, while 17 women violence reports were registered.
‘Safe Ramazan, Safe Eid’ plan implemented
Lahore Police stated that the ‘Safe Ramazan, Safe Eid’ plan was successfully implemented through timely measures and coordinated efforts. According to DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, multiple arrests were made during Eid, including individuals involved in illegal activities such as kite flying, aerial firing, and doing wheelie. Authorities reported no loss of life during Eid despite various challenges.
Missing children reunited with families
Shad Bagh Police safely reunited two missing children, identified as Jannat, 4, and Rohan,6, with their families.According to the spokesperson, both children went missing in separate incidents, and police traced them within a few hours.
