LAHORE : A contingent of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) took over the security of the Iqbal’s mausoleum on Pakistan Day at an impressive ceremony held here on Monday.
The PAF contingent also presented a march past on this occasion. Previously, the responsibility of security was with the Sutlej Rangers. Air Vice-Marshal M Shahid Afzal, Air Officer Commanding PAF Airmen Academy Korangi Creek was the chief guest on this occasion. Air Vice-Marshal Shahid Afzal also laid a wreath on Iqbal’s mausoleum and offered Fateha. Later, he also recorded his impressions in the guest book. Several other ceremonies were also held in the provincial capital on Monday in connection with Pakistan Day celebrations.
