LAHORE: The Multan Sultans have made two significant roster moves ahead of PSL-11, strengthening both their pace attack and all-round depth with the signings of Shehzad Gul and Muhammad Imran Randhawa.
Shehzad Gul, a 31-year-old left-arm fast bowler, joins the franchise after a remarkable rise in domestic cricket. Despite being a late entrant into the professional circuit, he has quickly established himself as one of Pakistan’s premier pacers. Known for his genuine pace, swing both ways, and ability to deliver in all phases of the game, Gul’s addition adds firepower to Multan’s bowling unit. His own words reflect the emotional journey: initially disappointed at being overlooked, he now sees this opportunity as a career-defining moment. CEO Gohar Shah hailed him as “the best left-arm fast bowler in Pakistan right now,” praising his skill set and fielding ability as the embodiment of the franchise’s “total cricket” philosophy.
Alongside Gul, the Sultans have also signed Muhammad Imran Randhawa, a seasoned all-rounder from Bahawalpur. Randhawa’s inclusion is being celebrated as “justice at last,” given his years of consistent performances in domestic cricket without a PSL breakthrough. His accurate bowling and powerful lower-order hitting make him a versatile asset in the T20 format. Randhawa himself described the signing as a dream come true, crediting Shah for finally opening the door that had long seemed closed. Shah, in turn, emphasized Randhawa’s current form and finishing ability, calling him “an exceptionally talented cricketer who should have been playing at this level a long time ago.”
