KARACHI: Gold prices dropped by Rs2,800 per tola in the local market on Thursday following a decline in the international rates.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold dropped to Rs537,162 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs2,401, bringing it down to Rs460,529.
In the international market, gold rates fell by $28, settling at $5,144 per ounce. Local gold prices are typically adjusted with a premium of $20 over international rates.Silver prices decreased by Rs194 to Rs8,810 per tola. The price of 10-gram silver also dropped by Rs166 to Rs7,553.
