KARACHI: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan hosted the grand finale of the National Finance Olympiad 2025 in Karachi, bringing together finance professionals, industry leaders and academics from across the country.
Speaking at the event, ICAP President Saif Ullah highlighted the expanding role of finance professionals in corporate governance, sustainability and national economic development, while PAIB Committee Chairman and ICAP Vice President Samiullah Siddiqui said the Olympiad aimed to strengthen strategic thinking, leadership and decision-making skills within the profession.
Former Meezan Bank chief executive and president Irfan Siddiqui and chief guest at the event praised the Olympiad for providing a competitive platform that tests strategic insight and real-world problem-solving, supported by industry perspectives shared by Unilever Pakistan’s Head of Corporate Finance Abdul Rahim Abbasi.
The competition attracted 40 teams from across Pakistan and overseas, with six teams qualifying for the final round. Following a series of boardroom-style challenges assessed by a panel of senior industry and academic leaders, Alpha Analysts emerged as National Finance Olympiad Champion 2025, while K-Electric and Careem secured first and second runner-up positions.
