KARACHI: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar will be chief guest at the first Pakistan policy dialogue, scheduled to take place on January 14 in Islamabad, according to a statement issued on Thursday.
The dialogue is geared towards fostering constructive engagement between the public and private sectors. It comes at a critical juncture for Pakistan’s economy, with a focus on the need for pragmatic reforms, growth-oriented policy choices, and institutional strengthening.
Organised under the theme ‘Correcting Course: Pakistan’s Economic Reset’, the dialogue is being convened by the Policy Research and Advisory Council (PRAC) in collaboration with the Corporate Pakistan Group (CPG). The founding partners are the Ministry of Commerce (MoC) and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) with support from Bank Alfalah, BankIslami, and Nutshell Group.
The event will feature keynotes and addresses by Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Prof Ahsan Iqbal, Federal; Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb; Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Senator Dr Musadik Malik, among others.
