LWMC continues cleanliness drive

The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) continued its citywide cleanliness drive, carrying out a special sanitation operation at Club Chowk on Mall Road, including GOR-I and adjoining roads.

The cleaning operation was conducted under Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz’s Suthra Punjab vision to ensure improved sanitation services for citizens. As part of the phased washing plan, LWMC teams remained active at commercial markets and public places along The Mall.

Workers carried out early-morning washing activities around Club Chowk and GOR-I using washer vehicles while cleaning of green belts, roadside dust accumulation and footpaths continued across the city. To mitigate smog, water sprinkling is being carried out periodically on major roads and public spaces. In addition, trees along major thoroughfares are also being washed as part of the cleanliness measures.

LWMC stated that providing a clean and healthy environment to citizens remains its top priority. Citizens have been urged to report sanitation-related complaints by contacting the LWMC helpline at 1139 or through the company’s social media platforms.
