LAHORE: President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Faheemur Rehman Saigol has said that responsible corporate participation and fair taxation policies are essential for sustainable economic growth and improved revenue generation in Pakistan.

He was speaking during a meeting with Dr Faisal Hashmi, senior director at Coca-Cola PACS Pakistan and Afghanistan Region, who called on the LCCI president at the chamber.

During the meeting, Dr Hashmi presented a socio-economic impact study to the LCCI president, highlighting the significant contribution of The Coca-Cola Company to Pakistan’s economy. He said the company continues to play a transparent and responsible role by supporting economic growth, employment generation and value creation across its entire value chain.

Both sides noted that existing taxation structures pose serious challenges and add to the cost of doing business.

Saigol appreciated the socio-economic contributions of Coca-Cola and acknowledged its role as a responsible corporate citizen. He expressed pride in the company’s association as a corporate member of the LCCI and reiterated the chamber’s commitment to continued engagement with leading organisations to help strengthen Pakistan’s economic landscape.
