LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said in her message on the International Human Solidarity Day that human solidarity begins where a state refuses to leave the weak alone.
She added that nations are not recognised by slogans but by human solidarity and standing by the weak. She highlighted that in a society where even one individual remains alone, development and solidarity remain incomplete.
The Punjab CM said the Punjab government was taking every segment of society along, as the state is like a mother for every weak person. She noted that after years, the bond of solidarity, trust and sympathy between the state and people is strengthening due to best policies.
She added that in Punjab, those who do not have their own homes are getting homes, and those who are not safe are being made safe. She underscored that education, health, social security and public welfare projects are practical manifestations of human solidarity. Maryam Nawaz said that focus of all policies and projects of Punjab government is the personal dignity and fundamental human rights of every citizen.
Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz paid rich tribute to the security forces for killing 4 terrorists, while strongly condemning an attack on security forces camp in North Waziristan. She also appreciated the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives and prayed for the speedy recovery of all those injured in the terrorist attack.
