LAHORE:The Crime Control Department (CCD) allegedly killed three suspected drug peddlers in separate encounters, police said. Officials claimed the suspects were caught in firing by their own accomplices.
According to police sources, CCD Defence and CCD Kotwali units engaged the suspects, identified as Lazar Masih, Naseer Ahmed and Ali Bao, who were wanted in multiple drug-related cases. The suspects reportedly came under fire from fleeing associates during the encounters and died on the spot.
Youth commits suicide
A 22-year old youth committed suicide by shooting himself on Aziz Bhatti Road in the Cantonment area on Thursday. According to Rescue 1122, the man, identified as Burhan Altaf, shot himself in the head. When rescue personnel reached the spot, he was already dead.
