KARACHI: Gold prices increased by Rs500 per tola on Thursday in the local market following an increase in the international rates.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association said that 24-karat gold rates reached Rs443,562 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs428 to Rs380,282.Gold rates increased by $5 to $4,212 per ounce in the international market.
Typically, gold prices in the local market are adjusted by a premium of $20 against rates in the international market.Silver rates increased by Rs85 to Rs6,452 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver rates also rose by Rs73 to Rs5,531. With this fresh increase, silver rates have reached an all-time high in local and international markets.
