Islamabad:The Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI) is set to host its seventh Islamabad Expo on December 6th and 7th at the Pakistan-China Friendship Centre, bringing together women-led enterprises, multinational firms, and diplomatic missions for a major national business showcase.

The two-day event aims to create a dynamic platform for women entrepreneurs from across the country, offering prime opportunities for networking, market expansion, and business development.

Participants will include leading local companies, international firms, and representatives from various embassies, highlighting the expo’s rising global relevance. In addition to stalls and exhibits, the expo will offer a vibrant and family-friendly environment, featuring food courts, cultural performances, music, workshops, discussion forums, and children’s activities.

Organisers expect a strong turnout, building on previous expos that attracted 10,000 to 15,000 visitors per day. All diplomatic missions in Islamabad have been invited, with officials from the United States Embassy confirming their participation.

The event underscores IWCCI’s role in connecting women entrepreneurs with foreign and local stakeholders across key sectors such as textiles, technology, healthcare, and services. IWCCI President Samina Fazil, founder of the chamber, said the expo remains a vital bridge for women-led businesses — ranging from micro enterprises to established companies — to directly engage with multinational corporations, local industry leaders, and diplomats.

“This platform provides opportunities rarely accessible to small and home-based enterprises,” she noted, adding that IWCCI continues to support women through market-access programs and specialised training to navigate regulatory and business challenges.
